Blood Brothers was originally conceived as a friends' only EP. As a device to release a few B-Sides and preview some of the finished Tracks from both "the Trouble with Neith" (2011) and "Melodius Axcension Befvore the Fall to Dead" (2012), Blood Brothers also showcased Sandor Gavin's wonderful ear and editing. Falling in love with "Somethin' Changed", he eventually signed the JSE to his Skip Stop Records label.
Below are some copies of the original emails from the first mastered circulation of the material:

Poindexter's Comments on "the People On MY BLock"
susan clipped the ending (you can hear phil scream really loud as soon as the gtr stops- perhaps she thought it was over?) I tried to piece it together by importing the next track and doing some micro-surgical... wave(?)-surgery (sorry for lack of a better term ha!) but there was a good second missing and it sounded like ass so I just faded it out.
Also, Phil must have been really into the song too, and I must have been really drunk because instead of singing "I'd walk on down my street/and slither down my block/and say hello to neighbors/that God probably forgot"
I sang "I'd walk on down my street/and slither down my block/and say hello to neighbors/that PHIL probably forgot"

lyrics
i'm losing all my hair it's falling from my head
and everyday's a struggle to cope
with what my doctor said/ he said
aside from scoliosis/poor vision
a case of gout
i've several types of cancer
that I could only live without
and if i came here today i would pass you right by
i'm much happier now that i'm sharing this time
and all the times that we shared / and you joked, but I cried
made me stronger.
I'm lying in my deathbed and i'm staring at the clock
tick tick tick tick.../I'm thinking my life over
and I'm wishing /I wish I could still walk (what I'd do?)
I'd walk on down my street
down my street/ and I'd slither down my block
and I'd say hello to neighbors/ that Phil/God probably forgot
and If i saw you today / i would pass you right by
i wouldn't release myself to you and surrender any more time than i've already
done so
because i'm stronger/coz i'm stronger
yes i'm stronger/coz i'm stronger
