this track was one of the first JSE songs. Natalia came up with the melody and Steve (aris) Ziagos turned it into a dance track. Not satisfied with the result, she brought it to me, who was still working with the Stereolites at the time. Kevin Sacco came up with the minor chord variation that we wound up using in the bridge section. We showcased it @ Arlene's grocery in 2006 with martin luque from losing you to tattoos on lead guitar. I borrowed a couple of his melodies to augment the bass-lines. Live, Huston Shcarr has played keyboards with us on the track.
This, Sad Tomato, and Young Neil were all expected to be released on the JSE's debut "Melodius Acensxion Befvore the Fall to Dead" (which wound up getting pushed back for various reasons) every song on that album ends in an exact even time to the nearest minute, ergo the trippy outro which was really just filler.
(sad tomato and young neil fit together to make one 9 minute track to close the album)
lyrics
pay no attention to the fool on the floor
she's been acting that way since you walked out her door/ just leave her alone / dont call on her phone / she doesn't need to hear from you anymore
pay no attention to the love that's been lost / you left her behind no matter the cost / just let her be and one day you'll see she'll make it without you, you don't mean anything
it's not worth losing any of your precious sleep
you'll never know about the secrets you keep
pay no attention to the fool on the floor
she's been acting that way since you walked out her door/ just leave her alone / dont call on her phone / she doesn't need to hear from you anymore
na na na na na
na na na na na
it's not worth losing any of your precious sleep
she'll never know about the secrets you keep
pay no mind to the tear in her eye
you never cared about it when you told her those lies
just go away / she'll be fine one day
she doesn't need a man like you to throw her away
she doesn't need your B.S. no matter what you say
she doesn't need a man like you
she doesn't need a man like you
she doesn't need a man like you
she doesn't need your B.S. no matter what you say
she doesn't need a man like you to throw her away
